Electrical Training Alliance Program of Western Oklahoma Training Programs Available
Opportunities to take advantage of an Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program are available through Electrical Training Alliance Program of Western Oklahoma.
The five-year training program provides a viable alternative to a college degree and allows participants to earn while they learn – with no tuition and no student loan debt!
The program is comprised of 8,000 hours of supervised, on-the-job instruction at a starting rate of $17.53 per hour, as well as 950 hours of classroom time. Participants must be selected for the program and must go through a selection process that includes an aptitude test and an oral interview with the JATC Committee.

The recruitment, selection, employment and training of apprentices during their apprenticeship shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), age ( 40 or older), genetic information or disability- except that the applicant must be at least 1 7 years of age to apply and 18 years of age at the time of indenture.
High school seniors may apply for the program within 30 days of their graduation date, but will not be allowed to enter the program until after graduation, if selected. Both males and females are encouraged to make application to our program.
Application Requirements
The requirements for application are:
- Must be at least 17 years old to apply, 18 years old to enter the program,
- Must have a valid driver’s license,
- Must have a high school diplmna or G.E.D. and
- Must provide an original, certified high school transcript showing a passing grade in Algebra I.
