Apache Tribe 2026 General Election
The Apache Tribe of Oklahoma’s 2026 General Election is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026 polls will open from 8:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. Polling sites will be located at the Apache Tribe AOA Building in Anadarko (click here for a Map and Directions), the Fair Ground Building in Apache (Click here for Map and Directions) and the Community Center in Fort Cobb (Click here for Map and Directions).
Any voter who is visibly inebriated will be asked to leave the polling place.
To be eligible to vote, voters must be members of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma and at least 18 years of age on the day of the election.
Each voter must have:
- a valid identification which is issued by the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma
- State driver’s license or a State identification card.
Absentee Ballots
The Apache Tribal Election Board wanted to ensure that all eligible voters received the opportunity to vote and notified the out-of-state voters and out-of-district voters by mail, and asked if you weren’t a resident of the established polling districts, Anadarko, Apache, or Fort Cobb, the voter would need to vote by absentee ballot.
Voters were notified they could request an absentee ballot by writing, emailing or calling the Apache Tribal Election Board no later than March 6, 2026.
If you did not receive a notice of the request for absentee ballots, you should contact the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma’s Enrollment office and update your mailing address.
ELECTION ORDINANCE: ARTICLE IX. ABSENTEE VOTING. SECTION 4. RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROVIDING NOTICE OF ADDRESS:
The responsibility for providing current mailing addresses shall rest with the individual voter.
